बिहार सरकार ने आदेश जारी कर लोहार जाति से अनुसूचित जनजाति (Scheduled Tribes) का दर्जावापस ले लिया है। प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा यह निर्णय सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले के बाद लिया गया है। गौरतलब है कि बिहार में लोहार जाति को वर्ष 2016 में अत्यंत पिछड़ा वर्ग की श्रेणी से हटाकर अनुसूचित जनजाति का दर्जा दिया गया था।
